Im playing a racing type game and it says how much the car weighs in game but I cant find the value in CE. The value is unchangeable in game. Also is there a way to find values you cant see in game but you can see in notepad in the games directory? For example: I can see the grip of the track in the tracks install files but not in game. How would i do this?
Thanks

Modifying the cars weight could have dire consequences. If that weight is calculated in the physics engine to simulate drift, traction, acceleration, by dropping it you could change the way it handles altogether. I have found this usually makes things like this very squirrely and tougher to drive than not messing with it.

What about numbers you cant see in game? Lets say the grip and other things that you can see outside of game in notepad?

If you set the new value carefully, it can have a positive impact in some games. It is fun in NFS for example. In NFS 6, I had cars with 600 mph top speed and they could take a hairpin with this speed. Yeah it was harder to drive that way but it was also cool. I have tried going with 800 mph too but that was too fast, beyond my reflexes. Same goes for NFS 11. If you get used to it, you can fly with top speed all the time but going even faster would require superhuman reflexes I guess.
After I got used to the high-speed driving, I didn't ever think to drive without that cheat again because it was just slow, boring and much more easier than playing without the cheat. (Yeah, driving a car with 600 mph is hard without crashing, who can deny that, but it is also much more funny.)
if you want to find the weight, try to find some other values first, like co-ordinates and vectors. Then just look around in that region in the memory. Probably the weight will be stored in a totally different form than you expect. Usually in Float.
You can edit traction, aerodynamic etc too, but you need to have some knowledge about the effects of changing these kind of physical effects.
Btw. speedhack is useful in racing games. It is much easier and comfortable to drive perfectly on half-speed. You can even have a cup of tee while you are finishing a hard level in Trackmania for example.

Im trying the hack codes like the aero and traction but my question is how? I dont even know were to start. Theres no values in game that says it. Maybe in the notpad but i wouldnt know what to search. Now hacking the main settings was easy. The game is rfactor if it helps any.

I think you should start here. Find the co-ordinates or something similar that you can search for and check the structure where these values can be found. If you don't know what is a structure and how to "analyze" it, then this will help to explain:
http://szemelyesintegracio.hu/cheats/41-game-hacking-articles/230-dissect-data-structures
In NFS 11 for example, the speed vector was stored at offset 40 I think and the weight was somewhere on 1C or some similar offset, before the vectors. Traction, weight balance, direction and stuff like that is also in that structure so tons of values, I just didn't want to mess with it because I am not a racing game fan.
