It's simple to get there, you just need to take all pills from your parents medicine shelf, go sleep and you will wake up at border of Gensokyo forest. You will wake up as fairy or youkai or human. But that's where problem starts - as human you will miss whole fun of being in Gensokyo because you won't have any real powers and it will be just like normal life, but set in early 1900. As youkai it won't be fun too - no matter how do you act everyone can just attack you and kill, especially Reimu and Marisa who will do it for pure fun, without good reason. As fairy you will be target for EVERYONE - other fairies, youkais, humans and insane shrine maidens. In Gensokyo there aren't "human rights" or even any fair laws and rules like in our world to protect you. So you can't hope for any fair judgements. Other thing is that Gensokyo is based on Japanese culture - after some time you will feel lost and maybe even lonely. No matter how you will try to fit there will be moments when you will be hopeless to understand it. That's why it's better to try to teleport to ZONE or World of Warcraft.
