Is it duct tape? Because if it's just clear tape (or even that yellow stuff), they can still see you straight through it. They monitor to check who the actual primary user of the computer is, and if they deduce that the primary user is under 18, they can press charges for lying on the application. They have a clause in the terms and agreements (that you "accepted" when you applied) that states so. You should probably get rid of it as soon as possible.

I put blue painter's tape. You can't see through it. And how do i send it back? I don't want to get sued.

i already said google doesn't give a fuck about some kid that lied about his age. you got a free netbook, congrats. 99.999% of people were just in it to win it in the first place.

but if you really really want to get rid of it because you are hilariously paranoid, i will pay your shipping costs to send it to me.

I'm not a lawyer but I have been through the legal system. Any agreement you made to get the laptop is null and void. I know in the states I have lived a minor (under the age of 1Cool can not sign a contract, without parental consent. Even then said contract is rarely held as legally binding.

The worst they can do is threaten you and ask for the item back.

While the tape is a good idea, if they do monitor how long do you think it would take someone whose job is it to think shit up to realize it's minor using it.

There where 2 boys wanted this "thing" and cannot get it unless they're 18. What they did was filled out this form with a fake name, age, and their real address. They send that form in and totally forgot about it until one day that thing came in the mail. They were so excite and the next few days they were happy, happy, happy!
As the days, weeks, goes by nothing happened just a normal life for normal young boys until a letter came in their mail that will make them shit bricks.
The letter was from the US Army and they want that "young man". The problem was this "young man" don't exist and now they're in deep shit as the U.S. Army wants this to speak to this "person"! :O

Better move out and change your name!

Plus I'll throw in a free Steam game.

Well...I don't want to ship it. If it does have GPS then I'll get into even more trouble. If Ah is right, then I'll just give it back to Google and they can have it back but I'll just keep it until Google says something.
