Hi DB,

Congratulation for the new CE. It is fantastic.

I am playing a little bit with LUA, trying to use the available functions and I faced some strange behaviors:

Code:

ADDRESS      21889534   0x014E01FE  "014E01FE"   "ValidLabel" 

readBytes       OK          OK         NOK          NOK
readInteger    NOK         NOK          OK           OK
writeBytes      OK          OK         NOK          NOK       (*) But it only writes 0
writeInteger   NOK         NOK          OK           OK       (*) But it only writes 0
writeString    NOK         NOK          OK           OK       (*) But the "Address" is written at the Address


You can easily reproduce those scenarios.

redownload ce if you downloaded it before yesterday (more specific, 10 seconds before the post in the lua tutorial section was made about api logging)
there was a problem with parsing strings and integers (decimals where returning true on the lua_isstring function, causing them to get passed on to ce's hex/symbol interpreter)

and readBytes was just plain stupid by not even handling strings
as for writes, hmmm, not tested... (luckely it's still within the 7 days after release where I will fix stuff)

Redownload ce again if you feel like it. I fixed the write commands
