My friend told me he was going to buy a Blu Ray player... Can anyone tell me why in this day and age you'd buy a blu ray player? I honestly have no idea, you can torrent Blu Ray off the internet and burn it to a disc and play it on a regular DVD player.

| I don't see why anyone would buy a DVD player in this day and age. Just watch the movie on TV and record it with a tape recorder.
