Didn't notice your post sorry. And I appreciate your offer but I would rather work at my own pace.

Again, I really do appreciate the offer and if I need some help with some technical stuff you would be one of the first people I will ask but at the moment I just want to get the names of a few websites just to see what I am getting myself in for. Smile

The first thing you want to do is get the Genki Elementary Japanese book series.
You can buy these at a book store or torrent the pdf if you feel like printing out the workbook pages so you can write in them.
They consist of two textbooks and two workbooks, one for each level (1 and 2).
I can even make a torrent with detailed instructions for you on where to start etc. and I'll include the accompanying Audio CD.
Basically everything you would have in a classroom, but you'd be on your own.
Note that 30 minutes a day won't get you very far immediately, you'll have to spend probably a year at that rate (consistently) to get to the point of casual conversation.
If you're still determined, let me know and I'll hook you up.

I'd probably spend a few hours extra on the weekend. I'm not really in a rush to learn it it's going to be a project. I really didn't like languages in high school but since I have left I really want to give it another try. I know Japanese probably isn't the best to learn (Not as widely spoken and it's written differently) but it seems like a challenge and I like the language in general. So if you wouldn't mind 'Hooking me up' it would be much appreciated.

Would you like an invite?
I prefer to host my torrents there, otherwise I'll just mediafire it.
