Its a great deal but I'm afraid to buy AMD, I've been Intel my entire life, I know it sounds silly, but idk.

dont worry, i know how you feel, i've had few AMD's

the price of the intel is just a whole lot more...for the same config...

dell does come with 1 yr warranty by default

and when you really think about it...does the brand name of intel really matter?

well if it does to you i recommend building your own computer because i cant do much with your budget and premade

the xps 7100 is your best bet

Well, not really, but my Dad has this way of making me feel like crap if I don't buy something that he'll like... dunno why. Even if it's with my own money.

Well if its your money then tell him that you want to try something new...

also tell him that if he wants intel, he needs to give you another 600 USD

Lol, so what makes AMD better than intel, is it just that your getting the exact same thing from AMD just much much cheaper?

lol'd well i just went back to dell and checked the configurations side by side between the 7100 and the 8100 and there is a 600 dollar difference (not 500)

also you dont have to go with the AMD Phenom™ II X4 945 + ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB

I just chose that because it fits in your budget

also if you need a moniter + modem+stereos that will cost more obv.

Well I want a build that will allow me to play Black Ops and Fallout without major lag.

Currently the graphics card I have now is a piece of crap.

afraid of AMD? You shouldn't fear anything if you been buying Intel. Their pricetags are so big they still cannot fit the price on it. AMD is cheaper but they make damn good cpus.

What do you think would be a good build for the 7100 model processor and video card, since I am assuming you have an AMD processor.

I've seen it all in this section, but never before in a single thread. Bravo.
