I'm looking for something powerful, like Wagner and also some softer stuff like Chopin. So if you have any suggestions (I really don't mind if they are modern either) It would be much appreciated.
Shostakovitch String Octet Op. 11
Brahms Horn Trio (try and find the Tuckwell, Perlman, and Ashkenazy recording)
Schubert Cello Quintet
Brahms Piano Trio D-Minor
Brahms Piano Trio C-Minor
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2
Brahms Violin Sonata #1
Beethoven Grosse-Fugue (one of the few Beethoven quartets I actually like)
Dvorak Piano Quintet A major
Try and find good recordings, don't go and pick listen to first result on youtube of a bunch of you-actually-probably-don't-know-whats playing them. Once you've listened to all of those and bought them on youtube, tell me and I'll give you more. Also tell me if the Shosti octet scared you off. If not, you weren't listening to a good enough recording.
Here's a list of what you should listen to:
Shostakovitch String Octet Op. 11
Brahms Horn Trio (try and find the Tuckwell, Perlman, and Ashkenazy recording)
Schubert Cello Quintet
Brahms Piano Trio D-Minor
Brahms Piano Trio C-Minor
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2
Brahms Violin Sonata #1
Beethoven Grosse-Fugue (one of the few Beethoven quartets I actually like)
Dvorak Piano Quintet A major
So the ones I put in bold I really enjoyed. Thank you a lot
As for what you said about the Beethoven one, how can you not love his moonlight sonata (or at very least the first movement)
