SO YEAH, thanks to the few of you who said nice things it helped. As of right now he is in intensive care laying in bed getting tests done just about every hour. when he first came into the Emergency room he was able to move his right arm and right leg and the doctors seemed very optimistic about it, a few hours after being emmited he lost control of his right arm and leg and his speech is more splured. Death wouldn't be the worst thing to happen in this situation. The worst thing that could happen is that he shows no improvement. His mother, My great grandmother had gone through the same thing and was in a nursing home for more then 10 years. He hated to see his mother like that and said he would die before he was put into a nursing home.

Not getting attached would be stupid, but you can be accepting that we're going to die and it will make it easier to get through this.
The reason we don't like seeing our loved ones die (besides the obvious fact were losing someone close to us) is that it shows us that death is real and that we will one day also die which can add to the sadness.

If someone else dieing scares you because it shows you how close you are to death, you're a giant pussy that doesn't deserve to be near the person that're actually having problems.
People like that are denied visiting privileges if I find out they're that selfish.
I'm the one stuck in a hospital bed. Not them.

To be fair to your point here, I think most people are pussies. The problems people have often mean very little if you put them in perspective. It's because most are selfish bastards, because they haven't really experienced anything to upset the balance in their life. Good job OP, for not feeling sorry for yourself. Instead you seek help on how to improve the situation of the person in need. I know this means very little to you, but once this ordeal is over you won't have to look back in shame (depending on the follow up actions as well of course).
