And I parked my time machine behind the biggest tree that I could see.

And took off my time traveling goggles.
My companion followed suit, and so we stepped into the greatest adventure ever known to man.




Day 1:
It seems we've come across a transportation pod of sorts, it is large and ovular in shape, rings hollow, and has a rough white finish.
We could find no entrance or exit, so we assumed it could only be open by a magnetic security system.
We did not have time to investigate further, as we were chased out of this strange land by none other than a dinosaur.

Day 2:
It would appear some unforeseen problem with inter-time travel has temporarily disabled our portable electricity generator. This is admittedly an undesirable setback but as electricity is not necessarily vital to our first few days we can't do anything but press on and hope it will sort itself out. So far we haven't seen any hostile species of dinosaur in the area, but we fear the one that chased us may have tracked us back to our "base camp", of sorts. My partner and I will set out back to what we have for now determined to be a transportation pod tomorrow, after we have deployed our necessary security measures. These include perimeter motion sensors and portable electric fences, which for the time being are rendered useless until our generator comes back online.

Day 3:
With our camp security system finished, albeit useless, and no bother from dangerous beasts, only annoying mosquito-like birds, we ascend the face of the tallest hill in the area, to have a better look around.
What we experience is our first sunrise on this alien planet.
Much like our sunset at home, there is a green flash, though it is backwards, as this is the sunrise, and it is amplified twenty times over.
It is beautiful.
We spend an hour observing the surrounding landscape and find that our placement of camp was quite appropriate, as it it out of the way of the many trails for extremely large species.
Dinner that night was some sort of local fruit, gooey and sweet like honey mango.

Our first nightfall was tense initially, with concern of overnight attack from whatever the local wildlife may have in store for us, but we quickly learned that we lucked out, so to speak, on picking an area located primarily in the nesting and living grounds of herbivores, with rare and short-lived "visits" from aggressive creatures that were quickly beaten away by the larger residents of the area. Additionally, we learned that the herbivores were friendly in a sort of you-leave-me-alone-I'll-leave-you-alone way. Co-existance would be far from challenging for our visit.

We had pressing matters in our native time and so returned.
