If you never used the D:\ and got Vista or Win7.
You can remove the D:\ and expand your C, to get more space.

You can download and install "stuff" to any drive that is rewritable such as a HDD or USB disk, but not a DVD-R/+R. How ever if you'd like to merge C:\ and D:\ to make C:\ larger:

Right click my computer and select manage.
On the left pane click storage and then click on Disk Management.
To find out if If D:\ is a partition on the same hard drive as C:\, look at the bottom of the window where it says Disk 0 i think, see if C:\ and D;\ are both in Disk 0. If they are then you must back up your D:\ data, and then right click on D:\ in the Disk Management window and select Delete Volume. Once it's done, right click C:\ in Disk Management and select Expand volume.

However if D:\ is on a different Hard drive such as C:\ being Disk 0 and D:\ being disk 1 then you can't merge them unless you use RAID which requires reformatting your computer deleting all of your data.
