my webcam mic is having problem?

ok, so on skype, or any other messenger or so whatever, whenever I use my Web Cam's Microphone, it will be ok for around 2 minutes, but after that the webcam mic will crush and the person that I'm calling will only hear the ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound... what to do to fix this? Razz

Did you're webcam come with drivers?
Update your audio codecs/drivers?

how to update it?

@spikerock, what I'm sure of is I had the webcam since 2007

Have tried using it on another PC?
If yes, and its working, try reinstalling an current/updated driver (audio/cam) like what XSV said. You may have a driver conflict from other software drivers you installed previously. How to update it? Search for your cam/audio model on the net, then download an updated driver.

If not, if you've used it since, check your cam cables especially junction areas (faulty wires will cause such interference). They may need replacement.

Type in the name of it and then drivers. Or just check their website.
