Native
- The PS3 has a thing called 'OtherOS' which allows you to install another OS (even Windows, albeit a bit slow due to a lack of drivers) onto the PS3
- The PS3 allows you to switch HDDs without destroying the warranty
- The PS3 can play true HD via Bluray
- The PS3 supports gameplay definitions up to 1080p
- The PS3 allows you to connect external HDD to play whatever the hell you want to play, aside from games
Jailbreak additions
- The PS3 will support NTFS
- The PS3 will allow you to run games off the HDD (increases loading times) |

- THe Xbox 360 can play steam games
- The Xbox 360 emulate the Xbox
- THe Xbox 360 can play burnt games (So can the PS3)
- You can FTP straight to the Xbox 360
- The Xbox 360 gives you in-game dev tools (You can dev games for the PS3 as well)
- The Xbox 360 can download free add-ons (So can the PS3, natively)
- The Xbox 360 gets free XBL (PS3 online was never paid)
- The Xbox 360 can now play bluray (So can the PS3, natively, and from day 1) |
Mind you that 80% of the list is stuff added through soft modding. Soft modding the PS3 has only been possible for a couple of days, and it's still being tested as we speak. The XBox 360 modding has been possible for years. You're crediting stuff to the XBox 360 that is not to be credited to it. The only reason you can do shit like that, is because it's soft modded. Also, the PS3 has a lot more power than the XBox 360 in terms of processing power. The only reason they can still be considered 'equal' is because the PS3 has not been pushed to its full potential yet.
Let's talk when the homebrew community for the PS3 has florished. |
