I figure by Sept 10 Ill have 450$, should I buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115728 or save up a tad more and get something better? If so give suggestions. Thanks

Why exactly do want just another sort of crummy laptop? Since most laptops >$500 will provide similar performance, you may as well get the smallest and most battery efficient laptop you can find.

My laptop has the same exact specs as that one, and it's no faster than the 1.4 ghz celeron laptop that preceded it.

You can get a HP Mini 311 with Nvidia ION for $399

My computer is a desktop with the following specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon 2650e Processor, NVIDIA GeForsce 6150E Graphics card, 160 BG Hard Drive, 1 GB DDR2 ram.

Would that computer honestly not be 10 times better then what Ive got?

Your current computer: Crappy CPU along with a crappy graphics
The laptop you want to get: Decent CPU along with extremely shitty graphics
HP mini 311: Atom CPU along with nice graphics (GeForce 9400m)


Other netbooks will feature a dual Core Atom with ION 2+Optimus Technology.

They range from $500 and above.
