According to the web, Nvidia has decided to cut price on their line up of GPUs.

Below are the list of prices:

-GTX 480: $470 (average) to $450 cheapest

-GTX 470: $350 to $330, in some place down to $300

-GTX 465: $280 to $229 and again in some place down to $200

-GTX 460 based on the GF104 gets a price drop too on the 768MB version to sub $200 as it's place too close to the 1GB version. If they dropped it below enough, it will make the GTX 460 1GB less attractive due to their price differences.

-HD5830 is the only card in AMD's line up to have a price cut. It now cost $200 in order to compete in terms of pricing against the GTX 460 (768MB)

News:

- Recent leak has been made around the web on the new die shots of Nvidia's upcoming GPUs.
The GPUs is are based on the GF106 and GF108

*GF106*
- Used for the GTS 440, GTS 445, and GTS 450

- The GTS 440 and 445 might get released on the month of Sept where the GTS 450 will get released later on.

- These cards will go against the HD5700 series

- Price will be around $150 to $170

- Performance to be around the GTX 260"+" (+ probably stands for the 216core version and not the other type)?

- Has 192SP (stream processor) with a 128bit memory interface

*GF108*

-To be released after the GF106 line up

-Replacing the GT240 while rumor to be a rebrand of the GT400 series

-Has 128bit memory interface and 96SP

-Goes against the HD5600 series

-The sample card image uses DDR3 for its vram, don't know if they're planning to change it in the final product as HD5600 series uses GDDR5.
Don't see as to how DDR3 can out perform GDDR5 unless Nvidia has other things up its sleeves.
