1) Speed pointer is probably a field of the Unit class.
2) This has already been asked some weeks ago, check the forum.
3) Find the routine that checks if you can build in a particular spot and make it always return true. Be careful, the game could not be able to handle this and might behave strangely/crash.
It's still the same process. Determine if the tiles are loaded in the same place after restarting a game... if they are, then just restore a checkpoint to toggle the search. If they aren't then try to deduce the terrain tile structures or write a custom search type that matches same-diff-diff-same-etc.
