you shouldn't be comparing blackberry to an iphone. an iphone is more like an entertainment phone while blackberry is for messaging.
if you want entertainment phone, i would go for android and get a nexus 1.

theres no place in canada that supports iPhones well that I know of so Androids have pretty much taken over the market here.
