According to OP's sig, all of his parts still have plenty of life in it and does not require a upgrade. He can save his money and put it to good use.
Now assuming he also have a netbook or a regular notebook, he might was well upgrade on that instead, like more ram or better off the combination of SSD+HDD such as this

I guess the hard drive looks like a good upgrade, it just a past post i read said he used to have like only a 60gb hard drive and i can relate to that cause i had that too at one point, right now i have a 320GB and thats like plenty of space so i dont know. But 500gb would really be awesome still.

i'd wait for the 4k hd change first before but whatev.
it's not too far away, and every manufacturer will be doing it.

WD already has 4K hdd including their notebook line up as well.
Some of them even have integrated free fall sensors.
