Faster RAM is certainly better than more RAM, 4 GB is plenty.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Other problem is the motherboard I plan on buying is a 3-way ram slot (If you know what I mean.) The RAM I plan on buying uses 2 2sticks. Is that going to cause a problem, or downgrade the quality?

If it only has 3 ram slots you can obviously only use 3 ram sticks.

If it supports triple-channel I suppose it would support dual-channel. If not, just buy another stick of the same RAM.

You don't really ever need over 4gb, even for gaming.
