I would check on tiger also. I found the mobo suggested for 10 bucks cheaper via rebate.
Tigerdirect? I never knew about this site, but it seems much cheaper!
Would this gfx card be better? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6469845&sku=V261-5670
No. 5770 or better for 5000 series. 4770 or better for 4000 series.

They are also taxless for most states and free shipping depending on weight. The only thing is they don't carry G skill ram. I would still order ram from newegg because they are cheaper on ram right now. The ripjaws I suggested are free skipping so 110USD total.
Ok, and what about this case? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1384989&csid=_21

A case is cosmetic. Thats the buyers option, do not let anyone tell you different. Unless you plan to OC hardcore, you wont need a bunch of fans, and even if you did, watercooling is better.

Wow hero seriously? This kid is building his first pc, you are pushing ideas on him that simply un-fucking-needed at all. Also I would suggest not to rely on rebates cause 40% of the time they don't work.

And what ideas would that be? That the case is totally his choice? That he should do his best and not buy shit? That he can learn to OC and bring out the best for his money? Anyone who does not tell him how to do the best he can do is a fool and a dick. He isn't a kid for starters. He's around my age last I checked. Get your facts straight. He isn't a douche like most of CEF and he deserves to know what he can and cannot do.

As for rebates, I have received every one of mine.
