i have a 300w power supply and recently needed to upgrade my graphics card too. i ended up getting a 9800 gt which works very nicely. 300w is quite low tbh and it limits the graphics cards you can stick in your box. the one i bought was £100, dual-dvi and 1gb memory. it rates 6.8 + 6.8 on the graphics related windows ratings. not too bad for a 2-ish year old graphics card.

i THINK for less money.. you might be able to get a slightly lower powered version of the 9800. but if not you can just keep stepping back models till you find one within your price range.

Unless you have like below 65w cpu, i highly doubt you going to run 9800gt with a standard 300w. Maybe GTS 250, or 9800gt EE edition. a standard dual slot 9800gt? doubtful

believe it negro. as you can see the processor is a dual core pentium d. because it was one of the earlier dual core models, its power consumption ranks relatively high. i don't understand why you would blindlessly accuse someone of lying, sort of stupid really. the memory i'm using is only ddr2, 4 gbs of it. however memory tends not to take up that much power in comparison to other components anyway.

the model of my box is dimension 9150 running with all original parts except graphics card

I got the same card, different manufacturer, but it works pretty well for the price.

Can run Starcraft 2, MW2, Dragon Age, Mass Effect... and I couple more that I forgot, on medium settings, 1280x1080. I noticed that your screenshot was taken at 1920x1080, so maybe it won't work as well. (Why do have such a nice monitor with an integrated graphics card in the first place?!)

At $54.99, the price to power ratio just can't be beat. However, if you don't wanna wait for MIR, I would suggest you go for the HD 5670 that was suggested before. I'm not sure how well these low much help these low end cards can offer with your monitor have such a high resolution. You might as well save up your money for a HD 5770/5830/5850.

Btw, I'm getting a 6.5 in gaming graphics from WEI.
