Have you tried safe mode, and have you looked in the BIOS for a type of "most compatible" preset setting? Also, is it 32 or 64 bit?

If he gets in through safe mode or the presets he could just install the new drivers and uninstall the old ones without going through all of that though.

This does not always work. When my first mobo blew up I was able to get into windows from safe mode. Installing the drivers did not help. My suggestion would be to get what you need off and reformat.

Blew up? Sounds to me like the problem wasn't the drivers there, el supremo.

Are you retarded or just blind? The first motherboard caught fire. When I changed to the second one it had to be reformatted as installing drivers did not work. Why the hell would the drivers not work on the first board, in which windows was installed on? Duh.

Thanks for saying you had a second one the first time around. Oh wait, you didn't. Also, I'm not an idiot to assume what you said was everything, you are the idiot for not including all of the details. You're also a jackass for sending me a message on MSN about something as stupid as a forum post, so fuck you.

It was obviously implied. If I said the first one blew up, there must obviously be a second board in function.

Also I have downloaded a chipset update for WIN7, think this could help ?

Nope, reinstall the OS, you don't need to reformat, that's what I did and everything worked after it.
