What is a SOTW?
Signature of the Week.

What is a signature?
A signature is a piece of art made on a program like Photoshop, usually around 400x110 pixels in size. It is made to go in the 'signature space' on forums.

How will it be judged?
There are people in a hidden section specifically for them. They are the art judges. I am one of them, but when I enter, I won't be judging.

The winner will be chosen along with the 'honourable mention', which is the person that is good, but didn't quite win.

How long do I have to enter my signature?
You have until Friday dead on midnight, just as it starts to be Saturday. GMT (+0 & -0). The threads will from now on be made on the monday. The judging threads will be made on the same day, and as soon as the next entry thread is made, the judges will release the winner/honourable mention, along with constructive critisism and reasoning.

Enter your signatures here.

Maximum size (in pixels): 450x220
Minimum size (in pixels): 330x90

No entering signatures that you have already made. The signature must be made with this contest in mind.

This week's theme is Valve.
Yeah, so not the valve as in the actual object, but the company that makes games. So think Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal etc/.

RIPPERS WILL BE BANNED.

May it be a rule that you can not create a thread looking for advice then remaking and submitting? Or is that currently allowed?

I see absolutely no problem with asking for critique and fixing it. As long as you get it in before the deadline date.

Also I'm thinking after this first one, people have 3 days to enter their sigs (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and then on the next monday we release the judgements that have been made. That way we don't have people entering like 10 minutes before the handin date.
