Haters gonna hate. Ultra is a fine brand although some here say different. Its a single rail with an 80% and its life time warrenty. To boot its 40 bucks off. I'll give them mine and see if the problem continues.

single rail is a marketing gimmick fyi.

A single rail means they didn't split the 12v rail, thats all. Its stronger that way. Less chance of an overload.

I really don't care. I have a dual rail psu and guess what? Its dying. And people of this forum were the ones telling me that 2 12v rails is bad so screw you all.

Anyway, I've decided to get http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5344843&sku=T925-3014

Its got almost the same amps in a single rail. The other rail puts it way over. I also saw some people posting what they ran on it, and it seems to put up well with pressure.

Giving it to my sisters and upgrading PSU. I'm changing mobo/ram/cpu in the next month. Going to get a phenom x6 and Crucial ballistix 1333mhz ddr3 I think. Mobo comes with the cpu since I found a bundle. Might buy a 3rd party cooler since I'm buying the cheapest x6 and OC it.

Its also been fine since I turned PCI express from max power savings to off.

After consideration I will roll with http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4434988&sku=C283-1201 and give my sisters my psu. I think I found the issue. The 6way I was using sucks. It burned out 2 laptop plugs in the last 4 days. Not the box, just the plug. Changing that wire from the box to the wal fixed it. Guess it just doesn't like it. It happened this morning when I plugged my ipod in to charge. Changed the 6way and now its fine. Go figure.

Anyway, anyone have any history with the silent pro family psu?
