| so i realized to myself that i have a computer addiction. I would love to get rid of it, but i lack friends and hobbies. Any help?

Close all ties and deal with any responsibilities you have, like if anyone is doing a project with you make sure it's ok that you go hiatus, then shut down/pack away your computer for a semester.
If it's you're only computer, then don't do that, but make a new account with no games on it or anything and use that for schoolwork or whatever you need.

I'd rather be addicted to the computer than be addicted to anything else. Although I'm not actually addicted to my computer, I prefer to use it more than any other thing I can do with my freetime. From time to time, I'll just go outside and play a little bit of soccer with my little brother. Nothing controlling my life or anything though.

I have friends, but I think I'm addicted to mine too.
I put off everything when I'm on it (skip homework, assignments as I'm stalling one right now) and when I'm away from it I feel lost with nothing to do.

yea, this semester was pretty bad. My grades are dropping, and its hard to find moderate for my computer. I want to take a break, but its hard. Thats the only thing i do when i'm at home. thanks for the advice everyone.
