Ok i know that some nvidia cards are meant to reach high temps and function but i recently did the latest furmark gpu test and i did a stability test up to 20k frames and stopped and the reason i stopped is because my gpu temperature got to 82C. Isn't that dangerously high? And my case isnt blocked its on my desk sideways so airflow isn't a problem I don't think. And my fan was at 80%, Graphics card is in my signature.

No its not. 90c and up is getting bad though. Some cards Idle on 80c. The old 4850 did. I wouldn't over think it considering you did a test designed to make it heat up.

Mines idles at 50 degrees, and goes up to 85 on a full load. It's pretty hot, though it's just fine. It's a GTS 250 if you were wondering.

Though mine is ATI it idles at 35° and is 65° at max load. I dunno about NVidia except for roasting bacon on the Fermi.

How I've been told is, Geforce cards stay cool for most models. I personally broke 65c and got to 70c on a stress test. I was in awwww. But gaming it stays around 50 - 60c. Radeon cards generally have decent fans.
