IPT is alright, but TBH I prefer demonoid on a lot of stuff.

But private trackers, OP, will never really get taken down. They're not big enough to make a big deal against them, and they're pretty under-the-radar.

What the fuck is wrong with you you twat.
Care to elaborate?

Lolwut dude before tpb was down they were talking about the ACTA agreement so pretty much even the trackers will get u screwed over. read about it its pretty alarming
:\

You act as if they've ever been okay with pirating. They'll never be able to get rid of it, it'll always happen. And private trackers...nothing can take down that shit.

Well, no they can. It just so happens that anybody that's smart enough to get an account to something like IPT/Wcd/other serious private trackers realizes that it's smarter to have these things. No one who is trying to take these things down will have the slightest clue of how to see it. They'll go to IPT and be like "WHELP, NOTHING TO SEE HERE." And they'll move along.

As much as i wish i could agree with you. The acta agreement allows government to look into your HD's and stuff. And no matter how fail the Aus government is they know how to screw you up.

They always say that shit, but it's just too much to follow up on, and those never come through.

Also, not everyone lives in Australia.

Well then you can have fun with your anti-piracy laws in Australia. I'm perfectly content in the US of A.

On 17 May 2010, Pirate bay went offline, reportedly due to an injunction against CyberBunker from Columbia Pictures, Disney Enterprises, Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros.[92] No timeline has been given for its return, although it is speculated to last only a few hours, and no later than a day.

The Pirate Bay is not going to die, they just need a new ISP.
Their servers are currently located at Cyber Bunker, but that may change.

Read up about it on TorrentFreak. TPB is apparently already back online, just many ISPs need to update their DNS.
