So my girlfriend just broke up with me and i need some advice on how to get over it or atleat not feel pain (i have drunk about a pint of vodka but i still feel bad.) I know this probably isnt the best place to ask for advice but i figured it is worth a try and i have nothing to lose.
She said that she just wanted to be friends. She likes me but as a really close friend. I really feel like i love her but she said she doesnt feel the same (even though she fells completely comfortable around me.) and that she wishes she could make herself feel the same but she cant. I really doubt there is any way to get her back and i really feel like shit. So is there any advice?

I feel it is my fault for feeling shy about showing affection in public and to be honest (and i know this sounds pathetic as hell) but i will do ANYTHING to get her back and i fell like suicide to stop it from hurting (pathetic right). She is the only girl that i have ever loved (i am 17) And would do anything to get her back.

Again i am sorry that i sound pathetic but i am home alone, feel like shit and no one will be home for for a few hours and i really need help from anyone.

Well first of all, don't kill yourself.
We've all been through it, (Oh, this is CEF, almost nobody had a gf..)
Don't have contact with her for at least 3 months, it's hard in the beginning but it will help you forgetting her. Don't try to get her back, she doesn't want you back. Just go hang around a lot with friends, put more effort into school, cry for like 2 hours, and after that blame yourself for being pathetic, work out.. etc etc. good luck.

Anyway, you kill yourself and she feels terrible, you need to consider the consequences of every action you take. Anyway, you're only 17, and while it sounds hypocritical coming from me, considering I'm 18 and married, there's other people out there to fall in love with. Take some time away from a relationship, hang out with mates, do something productive, and keep being friends with the girl, things change, as you hang out more, she might change her mind, she might not, but you can't try and force it. There's no "getting her back", there's only getting her again.
