You need to install the drivers for your build in card.
Post what model the laptop is.

Card is already in laptop, drivers are installed(should be anyway)
Still nothing.
Realtek btw, that's all I can find out, and the Realtek site isn't helpful

Impossible. How do you know they are the correct ones? Especially from the "should be anyway", it makes me think you do not exactly know how drivers work and are thinking that drivers will still exist even if you reinstall windows.
You'll need to search up the model of your laptop, find out exactly what model of wireless adapter it uses, and then get the latest driver's from that company's website. Install as administrator and reboot.
If that doesn't work, google your problem because it's likely that if you had a problem, thousands of other people did as well.
Edit: Click start > right click computer > manage > device manager
Find the exact model of your wireless card

I already google'd the problem and nothing - I'm not great with the google.

- Find your computer make and model.
- Go to manufacturer's website.
- Find a link for "Support". If this fails, google "site:[DOMAIN OF MANUFACTURER'S SITE] drivers.
- Put in your computer's model (this varies from site to site).
- Download and install drivers.
