It's like you ACTUALLY want a laptop from before 1998.

@OP
Seems good, I'd push for a laptop with a video card though; mine has a rather good one (by laptop standards) and I love it.

Due to my lack of computer knowledge, mind assisting me on what might be a better video card for this type of laptop? I am stuck to a limited budget of maybe $150-200 extra. This laptop will be used for college, and possibly a few games.

My laptop's video stuff is:

AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200
2GB VRAM

And I can run ALL new games on at least Medium smoothly, generally higher. For example, I'm currently playing F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin on either Medium or High (Can't remember) and it's running very smoothly. No lag encountered so far, and gunfights and explosions are involved.

My laptop? The laptop itself was about $600-$800 CAD, but with the warranties and tax and such it came to about $1100-$1200 CAD. :S

If you wanna game on a budget, get this.

http://www.futureshop.ca/EN-CA/product/id/10137509.aspx?logon=&langid=EN&dm=DEBUG&sku_id=0665000FS10137509&catid=

change it to .com if you live in the US.

It costs $50 more in the US though.
