Droid has a kickass music library, it plays original files without conversion.
Older phones (Including iShit) need to convert the mp3's to their native sound file, Droid just plain plays mp3's, losslessly.
You can trust me on this because I had a droid for a month.
It also has amazing apps that can harness the power of the droid, things the iPhone doesn't have.
For instance, a built in metal detector, or maybe the built in speaker that BLARES, or maybe the 5mp camera (there's a barcode scanner app, lets you scan any barcode and it looks up the serial number and tells you what the product is and how much it costs at different stores, useful for comparison shopping.)
There's also this augmented reality app by google (Google Eyes I think) that puts labels on everything the camera sees, so say you're walking around and you see a car, it will put a floating label above the car telling you what model it is, and you can touch the label to read comments about the car, and see other pictures of it.
Droid also supports IN BROWSER flashplayer, wheres iPhone does not.
Just be sure you get the Motorola Droid and not the HTC Droid Eris.
I don't even get why they made the Eris, it plain sucks and doesn't make sense.

| Anything HTC is good for apps. They are usually app unlocked so you can install most anything. I pirate games on my old HTCs60. It even has a nes and gba emulator.

I'm getting an HTC Hero for obvious reasons, but it depends on your prefs. Touch screen or full keyboard or what.
