Everytime I try to open something I get this
Windows cannot open this file:
File: SnippingTool.exe

To open this file, Windows need to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look it automitacally, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed in your computer.

I would take a picture of it but like I said I can't open anything except internet explorer.

I think that's caused by a virus which has made changes to registry to the default extensions. When you install an application like winrar, it asks at the end, what associations for some extentions you select, should be made, so winrar is the default application to open these files. This info is written in the registry,, so if you change that info for exe file,, it won't open with the default program.. I suggest you use system restore, to a previous working state or reinstall the OS.

Try this,maybe this can help you out.Go into folder options and find the option that says "Hide Known Format Extentions" or something, then uncheck it and take another look at those files.
