i have been adding codes to games, some times a module contains dozens of commands. some are repeatly loading or storing (fld fstp) of an memory address , and comparing (fcom fnstsw test).
i wonder if these extra codes will add too much load to the PC, or the execution time will exceed the time for each frame in the physics engine.

| unlikely. unless you are adding a really complicated loop it's unlikely you'll see any effect. you can't time it because different instructions take different number of clock cycles to execute on different processors. then bear in mind differing processor load as well.. you really can't answer that question.
