How do I cheat?

Ok so I started the programme and opened the map but now there's a problem.
I can't select any of the cheats.
the white empty squares stay empty (no green v is showing when I click them)
does anyone know how I can change this and make them work?

Ok how about you tell use what program, and what game.

Seeing how this is CE forums i assume you mean cheat engine for the program, but you also said map so maybe your messing with a map editor or something. Who knows.

Programme: Cheat Engine
Game: Maplestory

Well I started Cheat Engine then I opened the maplestory cheat thing.
I changed the settings too before that.
but now I need to click those cheats. but they don't get the green v they should supposed to get.
