So I have to use a wire :/

I have a netgear router, it used to work, and when I installed Vista it didn't work for a day or two, but then it found the router. It's been 5 days since I formatted and I don't know what to do :L

I'm sure you've tried power cycling everything as well as installing network/mobo drivers and not to mention extensive google searching using your laptop's model number?
