I have Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, anyways after a while, for some reason, my PC starts up a lot slower then it used too, also the screen flashes black about 3 times before I can do anything, does anyone know how I could fix this?

1. Download & Install www.ccleaner.com
2. Run the program, then click "Run Cleaner"
3. Go to Tools
4. Click the Start Up Tab, Disable all unnecessary programs
5. Click Registry
6. Scan For Issues
7. Fix All

that should dramatically help if you havent performed normal maintenance on ur pc.

Thanks but I already have that, and use it quite frequently. Is there anything else I could use?

Hmm the 3 black flashes is weird.

1. Uninstall your current graphics driver
2. Download the latest version available online

Do you have a junky computer? (whats your processor and ram)

for the black flashes: could be a program running isn't compatible with the windows style which causes windows then to fall back on the basic style instead

CCC tends to cause black flashes on WXP at least. Disabling CCC won't solve the slow boot tho. The real solution:
msconfig -> disable all useless stuff.
Make your network card IP static, if it's waiting for DHCP timeout.

Do you have an ATI gcard? :)

You can also use Vista's build in Windows defender software explore to disable the start up program you don't need.

Note: msconfig can do the same thing, but after restart windows defender will say a program has been blocked.
