I live in Canada so this may not be accurate.
1. Not for me (I'm literally a genius)... There is no challenge
2. Yes, some. But not too much physical bullying... More words. And don't act cool on your first day (You'll probably get freshied that way  ).
3. No You watch too much tv
4. Ummm... Breathing... Water... Food... Shelter... All that shit.  ... Regularily! Just DON'T DO DRUGS OR ALCHOHOL! OR SMOKE!

there shouldn't be bullies, but there are thugs where I live, and they usually just gang up on you cause they can't take you on 1v1.

1) Not unless you're a complete idiot. As long as you have some brains, there's nothing you can't study.
2) Aren't there always? However where I live, they're not really 'bullies', they're just big assholes with balls that haven't dropped and brains that haven't developed. When you meet these people, just ignore them, or if you feel like screwing with them, let them know about their predicament with their balls & brains.
3) Yes, they totally love bullies. 
4) Actually, it should be a challenge not to survive.

1. Academically, it depends on your personal capabilities. Socially, it doesn't have to be.
2. Yeah. Ignore them. They're all talk, usually.
3. Not generally.
4. A tent, I'd imagine.
