Someone tried to bruteforce something at my school and they had a defensive mechanism... Where everything completely denies access. |
My schools isn't that good, but I I cant get C&A on the computers without the IT guy finding out it was used on the machine. Brute force is a tad more risky due to the extensive amount of time they spend over your shoulder. So back to me sitting in the parking lot with my laptop....... Any way? |
The main reason C&A and aircrack are not working is because you are using Windows... Windows has packet or wifi restrictions or something of that such.

Well, I've yet to try it with C&A so I am not sure if it dose or dose not work, no one has argued it won't. you seem to be thinking it won't ether way though.

google backtrack, visit the forums, and start learning 
you can run it off a live CD on most computers. having a compatible wireless card is the most important thing though. then wep cracking becomes trivial

LiveCD, rip out the SAM, crack the admin's password on another computer.
I think he actually wanted admin access, not simply a way to read the files. Well, I'd go for admin too if it's me...

Hey someone said that the password is stored onto the computer why not just get a password sniffer for windows install it onto a usb flash drive and run it live from there?
BTW one of the school computers ip info

Oh and free lance, I dont want admin all i want to figure out is the wifi password so i can access the net, i have no harm in mind for asking about this stuff, simply the ability to use my laptop and ipod touch on there wifi when i please, Hell my parents pay school tax, why the hell cant i just check my email when i want?

You failed to mention what type of security the connection uses. If it's WEP, a rather short password can be cracked in a few minutes; with WPA, it may take hours and if it's WPA2 forget about it.

Pretty sure its WEP its only 11 correctors long, they tend to use parts of the school name like.....Stamcentrls Just cant remember if it was stamcents or stamcentrls but it wasnt a very long pass phrase.
Also it is a Cisco router. But really If all I need to do is use a password sniffer on the computer sence they have to input it manualy into eatch computer it should find it. I know the network name is Wireless (The default name).
