I've been on MSN most evening for about the past month and Person "X" or lets call him jimmy, hasn't been on. I was wondering if there was a way to tell if Jimmy has blocked you. Im guessing VB would be what i'd need to use?

all reliable ways have been blocked, there are sites that claim that can tell you who blocked you. but you have to fill in your msn + password and then the site just spams your contacts.

So no, VB wouldn't do it.

Perhaps he has blocked you, perhaps he hasn't.
Would knowing he has blocked you make a difference ? Will you start messaging him to unblock you ? Oh wait....

Also, it could be he's just set to invisible, all the time. E.g some people get 35 pm's as soon as they log in, setting to invisible makes msn at least slightly bearable

You can check with the latest MSN who has you added. So if that's any help to see if he deleted you or anything.

Options > Privacy > Check who has you added.

As for actually checking who has blocked you, you probably can't. Any programs or sites that you see online will take your information and periodically send your friends promotion messages, so don't trust them.

Don't know about OP, but I like to know if I'm blocked. Then I know if I have done something wrong, and I can improve.

Ontopic: I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to know if somebody is blocking you. Ask somebody else on their MSN list if (s)he has been on recently.

Make a new msn account sounding like a cute JB-esque girl, sexy_babii_16 or something, then add the guy and see if he responds.
If he is online while you are sexy_babii_16 and not when you are on your regular account, then you are blocked.

You can download and install http://www.msgplus.net/. Once it is installed it has a feature up top named "Contact list cleanup", that will tell you if the person has you blocked or not.
