decrease the region it scans.
if you don't have to use it disable kernelmode read/write processmemory in settings->extra
in settings->scansettings you can play arround with the buffer, on some systems a higher value is faster, in others lower is faster
there are also some other settings like regions to scan, you might want to disable mem_mapped if it isn't alread disabled
try a different first scan. E.g, I do not recommend doing a 1 byte scan for 0 as first scan
...or get more ram and a faster cpu

you can also try ticking the pause the game while scanningbox,
if you have a lot of background proccesses running they will take up memory and cpu time, see if there is any you can turn off to speed things up a bit,
another thing that can slow scans down is an anti virus like norton,
try scanning a single player game while your offline and turn off security software to see if that speeds up your scans,
just try to narrow down what might be using conflicting system resourses and see if that makes a difference ...

Well I'm running 350Mhz at 128 Mb of RAM and my scans are really fast. Try cleaning out your registry, I use CCleaner. Works good. Google it, it'll be easy to find.

| Quote: | CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! |
/me doubts freeing up space on hdd is going to help in the situtation
but thanks
