Marvelous, you remembered something from our conversation ;p

It is indeed true: there are many well-known(in Europe) French singers that use Verlan, which is a French dialect.

Anything slightly relevant.

Shit like:

Code:
Modern french music has a mix of many different styles, such as Latin American, African and asian music.

The famous french song 'Le Carnaval des Animaux' (The Carnival of the Animals) was originally written for a chamber group of piccolo/flute, clarinet (C & B flat), a glass armonica, an xylophone, two pianos, two violins, a viola, a cell and a double ball, but is now performed with a full orchestra of strings, and rather than the flass armonica a glockenspiel.

A style of French music, from the Limousin region is renound for its violin music, but also the chabrette bagpipes.

We French people listen to the same stuff as american people, only difference is that if the songs are in french then we listen to the same style but with french lyrics.

If you talk about old french music though, yes there are instruments like the ones you quoted.

The most popular instrument for typical french music is the accordion.
