I almost never use brushes.

Chidori, i just smudge it with a chalk brush, too lazy to tell the setting right now, maybe later.

get a render or image, duplicate it as many times as you want.

do this:
Smudge pattern = normal -> linear dodge -> (repeat on other layers untill satisfied.) = your sig.
(Optional: smudge a few of the copies of the render then turn them to screen or overlay.)

(Let your ~Imagination~ run free and you shall have a good smudge sig. )
