Do any of you guys know what it is/use it?

Because it's a SUPERB 3d art/animation program.

its a fair 3Dengine, I still find 3dsmax better because of simulations thazt 3ds max gives you for animations but lightwave is a little better than max for modeling. but Maya is better than lightwave for modeling
thats why not many people use lightwave, people usually go for 3ds max or for maya

It's a little expensive, but if you buy it and get good at using it, you can make the most epic animations.
