Hickory dickory dock, the mice ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the others escaped with minor injuries.

Here's a REALLY long joke:
THE MONK, THE ORPHAN, AND THE MAGIC DOORS
Once upon a time there was a little boy lost in the middle of the desert. A monk found the little boy and adopted him. After all the papers were filled out, the monk took his new son to his small stone cottage by the ocean. There, the boy saw a strange door and asked to look inside. The monk said frankly, “No you must be a monk to see what lies behind the door.”
The boy was dying to see what was behind the gloomy, ebony door. He trained as a monk for seven years and when he was finally finished, he asked his monk father, “Now may I open the door?”
“Yes then” said the monk. “You may”.
The boy opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of glass with a silver knob. The boy walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was a bronze door with a gold knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of rosewood with an iron knob. He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was a titanium door with a steel knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of marble with a chrome plated knob. The boy walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an oak door with an aluminum knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of nickel with a sapphire knob. He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was a lead door with a plastic knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of brass with a silver knob. He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was a copper door with a cement knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of plywood with a stone knob. He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was a brick door with a cedar wood knob. He opened the door and walked into a room. At the other end of the room there was another door made of zinc with a rubber knob. He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door. Behind the door there was a staircase. The boy walked up the stairs. At the top of the stairs there was the final door. It was made of solid platinum and covered in jewels. Its knob was made of diamond. What was behind the mystical door? I can’t tell you. You’re not a monk.
THE END

Wow, I usually don't read things that long. But umm... I think I chose the wrong time to decide to do so. Thanks for that. I wasted about... 3 minutes of my life reading that for nothing. Lol. Good job.

indeed.
the joke sucked (If the clock striked one only, then how did the others get hurt? )
+ this is slowly going to become a bandwagon and before you know it, the Art section will turn into a Literature section ._.

im positive that this is an art-art section, not a literature-art section.
The subforum to this section is to request images instead of doing it in this section. The stickies in this section are all about art-art. (We have: SOTW, LOTW. Not LiteratureOTW.)
playing on word can get you to alot of places.

Well, "playing on a word" obviously got us here. ^.^
Besides, why care whether or not they post literature here or not.
Has one of the mods said anything about it? (yet?) =/

slowly, it will start to create a snowball effect.
before you know it you will have people posting poems and jokes all over the place instead of actual art.
a subsection would solve that problem, but then again, nobody really cares for literature >_>
------
Edit:
i'm going to back out of this.
don't care, just think it might get out of hand. Plus this thread is getting way off topic.

Well, they should create a subsection for it then, because there are a lot of people that care for literature. I myself, Love poetry. Just because you don't have any interest in literature does not mean that others do not.

Don't consider Jokes relating to Art what so ever. Poetry more like it.

| I can honestly say that jokes DO need to be posted in the spam section, but poetry isn't spam and is indeed a form of art. So, is it agreed that poetry is acceptable?
