Getting Windows Vista would be a terrible idea. Windows 7 is coming out later this year. It is supposedly rocket-fast, even on really bad computers. Windows 7 is expected to be very good, especially since there are barely any errors in the beta they have. Once Windows 7 is out, Vista will just fall between the cracks. In 10 years from now, barely anyone will even know what Vista is.

Yeah it has an XP mode. Basically, it has a built-in VMWare with XP on it.

Vista was really stupid to have shitty backwards compatibility, and Microsoft knew it, so they practically went straight to work on Windows 7.
But Vista is okay now, after a billion updates, but I'm still using XP since my computer only got 1GB of RAM and it can't handle Vista. |
