Looks pretty good for beginners work. I just find teh trees and bushes hard to define.

Well obviously your way is the more professional/difficult way.
An easier way would be to write your text, paste the image ontop in a new layer, and from there ctrl+click the square next to the text layer, highlighting the text on the image. Then just inverse selection and delete, add a drop shadow.

I'm no pro though, as you can see.

Clipping mask is more easier, well for me.

Clipping mask is hard to undertand but when u get it first time, you wont forget it.

Requires two layers, and if you have any basic photoshop knowledge it's incredibly easy.

Change the stock used for the clipping mask. It doesn't work well confined by the text. Give a grass texture a shot.
