i am trying to make a C++ app for a little project of mine

unfortunately it has just been requested that it does not show any visual other than a messagebox

i am using vc++ 2008 and have been unsuccessful in finding a way to make a project without a console or window

any suggestions?

Just create a new empty win32 project? It won't have a console or window or anything. Just create a file like main.cpp and add a 'WinMain' function, and you'll have a working program.
