Why don't you go to www.google.com and do a search for the current US economic situation. The question is, where can you find to read it that isn't Bias towards one side of the information or the other.

The "Banks" didn't "lose" the money... they loaned money towards people who couldn't afford to pay their morgages because of stupid policies put in place that built a weak infastructure for the loans. Jobs started being out sourced, banks started not receiving their payments for the money they loaned out... they stopped giving loans to people (construction yards that depend on loans to get jobs started) which then caused more jobs to be lost... which caused people to stop spending money which caused more jobs to be lost as the small mom and pop shops started going out of business which caused more jobs to be lost.
It's a trickle down effect, you stop paying the middle class, they turn to the poor class and now those of us who still have a job have to pay taxes which then goes towards unemployment for the guys who aren't so lucky to have a job.
