I wouldn't. They made it differently, so that a flash cart would be unreadable. Besides, there were very few features added that would make it any more superior than DSL.
A camera, a single paged notepad(unsaveable), the removed GBA slot, a slightly bigger screen, crappy browsing (its ultimately slow and many sites fail to load), 256MB of internal memory (a downloaded program, at the most, will show as 128MB) and most annoyingly, increased weight.
I'd say the only advantage of buying the DSi would be the new DSiware. They are free, but it takes about half a minute to load. The programs could also easily be ripped and converted to allow its use on the DS/DSL.
Stick with a DS Light. It'll be a lot more convenient. |

Some basic additions that make it that little bit better. Having a DS and DS Lite makes me feel I should buy this console just because, but I'm not all that fussed. I may buy it if I ever have a huge amount of disposable income. |

agreed (you forgot they added two pretty low quality cameras), the best option is probably a ds light or even a psp
