|
|
Okay so as in my previous thread I tried almost everything
I got Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium btw
-Trendnet TEW-452UB Router, Followed the online instructions on their site but it still didnt work
-Virtual Server - portforwarded the port 47230
-Static IP- Did that part too
-DVM Host(recommended by someone)- Tried that, still didnt work...
So now im stuck with this portforward thing which I really badly need to forward
Anyone have any other solutions? _________________

Go to portforward com, there should be a link to PFConfig or something like that. I don't really know if that works, but portforward com has a plain tut on it. That's how I learned to portforward on Vista(I downgraded to XP :p) |

What I did was typing in my ip into my browser. It had my router homepage, and I logged in. It gave me a few options like NAT settings, and a few others. Along the way I saw port forwarding. I'm not sure if your router has these settings, but it's what I did. Try it, it's worth a shot! _________________

TCP =/= UDP =/= TCP/UDP. Try the latter.
My router has a field for "Private IP address" (see below). Put in whatever the local IP is for the computer you want to be forwarded for. (I think you found it in the other thread, it's "ipconfig/all" in cmd, and look for "IPv4 Address". |

He's right just go to portforward.co m and then you chose what router you have then chose the program you need to forword and they will give you a very good guide on how to do it. Good luck. |
I've tried that and it still hasnt worked
it says port is not forwarded... _________________

If not even setting up a DMZ host managed to help you, I suggest you get a new router that doesn't suck cock. _________________

A router that doesn't even have essential functions isn't near good.
The manufactures may have locked it for the sake of whatever. All the buttons and shit are there but they don't do anything. Same thing with mine and its whole PF config. At least DMZ worked... _________________

When I go here it says
Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.
A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.
Checking port 47230 on 68.145.46.244...
Error! Port 47230 does not appear to be open.
Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port.
Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).
Am I missing something else Im suppose to do? _________________

I know what its telling you and we've tried to help you set up the port and DMZ host correctly. You have, but your router still sits around and wallows in its own shit, as if nothing has changed.
you'll have to use RapidShit for awhile, I guess. If you have DSL you can change your IP in seconds and sidestep the timer. _________________
